As the Global Lead for Disability and Inclusion at TCS since 2012, I've driven diversity and inclusion initiatives beyond gender, focusing on disability inclusion and intersectionality. Achievements include expanding the Supplier Diversity program with clients like CITI, DELTA Airlines, SHELL, AMEX, and CISCO, leading policy audits, designing inclusion frameworks, and creating learning programs. I've set up employee resource groups, managed collaborations, and engaged in policy work with UNDP, ILO, and CII. My thought leadership includes presenting papers and setting up networks for gender equality, mobilizing 20,000+ male advocates through the UN Women’s He For She Campaign.

• UN WOMEN (June 2011 - Feb 2012) : Collaborated with the Planning Commission of India to integrate gender into the 12th National Five Year Plan.


• MCH STAR (June 2011 - May 2012) : Provided capacity building and technical assistance for Gender and Social Inclusion programs, supported by USAID.


• Sadbhavana Trust (April 2011 - January 2012) : Led a study on Muslim inclusion in development interventions in West Bengal.


• Center for Policy Research (May 2009 - May 2011) : Managed a health and education survey in nineteen states, supported by the Gates Foundation, focusing on quality and absenteeism.


• Oxford Policy Management (May 2009 - Nov 2010) : Served as Deputy Director (part-time), setting up the India office, and engaged in recruitment and business development. Engaged in projects supported by UNICEF on child labor and capacity building for flagship programs linked to MDG goals.

• Packard Foundation Project (Sept 2003 - Oct 2008) : Led a project in Bihar and Jharkhand aimed at improving the reproductive and sexual health of adolescent girls and boys. This project was supported by the Packard Foundation.


• MacArthur Foundation Project (May 2005 - Oct 2008) : Managed a project supported by the MacArthur Foundation, documenting successful strategies in delaying marriage for young girls in South Asia, particularly India.


• Empowering Women through Self-Help Groups : Identified and designed models for empowering women through self-help groups.

MPhil(Population Studies)

Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. | 1994

In 1994, I completed an MPhil in Population Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. My research focused on sex differentials in child mortality in India, specifically examining factors contributing to disparities in child survival rates based on gender. This experience deepened my understanding of population dynamics and the complexities of public health challenges, particularly in the context of gender disparities in healthcare access and outcomes.
